The app checks the Bitcoin price on supported exchanges in real time via API (every 15 minutes) and compares it to the previous all-time high stored in the database.

The app on your phone doesn’t check the price itself — instead, our server checks the Bitcoin price every 15 minutes. It’s up to you how often you want to get potential new ATH alerts. In the app settings, you can choose different intervals, from every 15 minutes (the most frequent option) to once a day.

You can also set a Sleep Time (for example, at night) when you don’t want to receive alerts. Don’t worry about missing an ATH — the app remembers the highest price reached while notifications are paused, and once you turn them back on, you’ll get an alert for the latest highest ATH.

In the Check Frequency settings, the user chooses how often they want to receive new ATH notifications. Each notification starts a user-specified window (for example, 4 hours) during which no new notifications will be delivered. Once this window ends, the user receives all missed ATH notifications that occurred during the silent period, and a new no-notification window begins.

If the user changes the Check Frequency — for example, from once a day to every hour — the new setting is applied immediately, and all pending ATH notifications will be delivered according to the updated frequency.

If your settings temporarily prevent alerts from being delivered — for example, due to Sleep Time, Battery Saver, or your selected Sync Frequency — the app will always remember the latest (highest) ATH for your chosen exchange–currency pair. That alert will be delivered within 10 minutes after the blocking condition is no longer active. Don’t worry — you won’t miss a notification about the current ATH. 

The Last Price is a Premium feature that shows the latest highest Bitcoin price within the last 15 minutes, displayed on the Main screen for your selected exchange and currency. The price is refreshed according to your chosen Check Frequency setting, the same way as ATH price.

Its purpose is to give you a clear idea of how close (or far) the current Bitcoin price is from its All-Time High. 🚀

No — as long as notifications are enabled by the button on the Main Page of the App, you’ll get alerts even when the app is running in the background or completely closed.

The price on the main screen follows your Check Frequency setting and will be updated according to your selected interval: 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, 8h, or once a day. So if your Check Frequency is set to 4 hours, a new Bitcoin ATH will appear on the main screen within 4 hours at the latest.

If you are a 💎 Premium user, you can manually override this by switching to a different currency and then back to your preferred currency in the Exchange & Currency settings - latest ATH records will be updated from the database and correctly displayed on the main screen.

On Android, battery optimization can limit apps from delivering pending notifications when your phone’s screen is off. This is a general Android limitation — nothing I can change on my side.

If you set the app to Unrestricted in your phone’s settings, (⚙️ Settings > Apps > BTC ATH Alert > Battery > Unrestricted) it ensures that all pending ATH notifications (delayed because of your Check Frequency settings, Sleep Time, or Battery Saver) are delivered as soon as possible.

Don’t worry — real-time ATH alerts (when a new all-time high is reached) will always come through instantly, even if your screen is off.

If left as default, pending notifications (caused by Sleep Time, Battery Saver, or a longer Check Frequency) will be delivered as soon as you turn on your phone’s display. 🤳🏼 

No. Since your personal settings (including notification preferences) are stored only on your device, and push notifications require an internet connection, the server sending notifications cannot know which alerts you are currently interested in while you are offline. This is how most notification-based services work.

However, the current ATH for your selected exchange and currency will always be displayed on the app’s main screen once you’re back online.

Yes! (This is a 💎 Premium feature) You can set a fully custom notification text for each selected Exchange–Currency pair. You can also use placeholders like %price for the ATH price and %exchange to show which exchange the alert is for.

You can choose whether you want alerts with sound, vibration, or completely silent. The app uses your device’s default notification sound, so you can change that in your phone settings anytime.

No — the app does not collect, store, or share any personal data. All settings stay only on your device. When you enable notifications, a random user ID is created just to deliver alerts — it’s not linked to you in any way. We don’t store anything on our servers and don’t share anything with third parties.
